Disney Cruise Line recently added a 5th ship to its fleet! I had the opportunity to set sail on this beautiful ship in September.

Having sailed on Disney’s other ships, I knew to expect a Magical experience. I was pleasantly surprised at the differences on the Disney Wish! From the moment you step into the Grand Atrium you are transported into a luxurious experience!

The Disney Wish is full of fun activities for both kids and adults! With even more lounges and adult only venues than you will find on other Disney ships, this ship is perfect for an adult escape or honeymoon! The lounges feature entertainment, trivia, mixology sessions and an escape from the more crowded areas of the ship.

Of course, being a Disney ship, there are so many fun things for kids to do! There are multiple kid’s clubs – for the youngest sailors who can enjoy It’s a Small World Nursery to teens who can hang out with friends at Vibe or Edge. Personally, if I were a kid between the ages of 3 and 11, you wouldn’t be able to pry me away from the Oceaneer’s Club!

The Oceaneer’s Club has some of the best spaces onboard! There is actually a sliding board that takes you into the Club!

The club features multiple rooms with different themes, including Marvel Super Hero Academy, Star Wars Cargo Bay, Fairytale Hall and more! Characters pop to visit with the kids and fun events are scheduled throughout the day!

Ok, let’s talk about the best part of a cruise – food! The Disney Wish features 3 new main restaurants. The food is amazing, but the real fun is in the theming!

The Disney ships feature rotational dining where you dine at a different restaurant each night and your wait staff joins you. This allows for your servers to really get to know you. I had a Diet Coke waiting for me every night when I sat down.

On the Wish, you will rotate between Arendelle, where you celebrate Anna & Kristoff’s engagement, 1923, which is a throwback to old school Hollywood and Worlds of Marvel, a unique dining with AntMan and the Wasp.

The Quick Service and Buffet are also new! The Wish features Marceline Market as the buffet and Mickey’s Festival of Food for quick service. Festival of Food is home to Minnie’s Ice Cream, Mickey’s Barbecue (my personal favorite), Daisy’s Pizza and Donald’s Cantina (think Chipotle, on a ship!)

Families will love the pool deck! There are more pools than on any other Disney ship, a Toy Story themed splash zone for the kids and the all new AquaMouse! This water coaster is so fun and features 2 different storylines based on Mickey shorts! I was lucky enough to experience both.

Our stateroom was beautiful and roomy. The Disney Wish staterooms feature different themes depending on deck and room category. We had an adorable Frozen themed stateroom!

Entertainment is never lacking on a Disney ship! There are Broadway-style shows, first run movies, classic movies showing on the pool deck, music in the atrium, shopping, family game shows and of course, character interactions!

Another first for the Disney Wish is the Hyperspace Lounge. This is a must do for any Star Wars fan!

The Disney Wish is currently sailing from Port Canaveral for 3 & 4 Night itineraries to the Bahamas, which includes a stop at Disney’s Private Island, Castaway Cay.
